AUG 29, 2016 LISTEN

A truck full of brand new Japan made bicycles, office tables and chairs have been donated to the Afigya Kwabere North Constituency by Mr. Peter Antwi Boasiako, who is a resident of United Kingdom, and a native of the constituency. The items were presented on behalf of Mr Antwi by Rev. Franklin Opoku-Agyeman, Senior Pastor of Good Shepherd Assemblies of God Church, Accra.

In presenting the items, Rev. Opoku-Agyemang said: "I feel not only honoured and extremely delighted to stand before you, but I am very glad to be part of this event that marks the beginning of your political fight to win power this year, and I present to you these logistics to help the management of activities and enhance the operations of the local branch party, for the victory the party deservingly seeks this year. Even as I present these bicycles and office furniture to the Constituency to help your fight towards the upcoming general elections and beyond, I president them on behalf of my younger brother, Peter Antwi Boasiako, who is a resident of UK, seeing the need to contribute to help the executives, party members and volunteers in your preparedness for the fight ahead..."

Rev. Franklin continued by saying; "I believe that, these furniture and the bicycles put into use will not only increase the effective operations and efficient management of the local party, but it will also grant adequate means to manoeuvre around in the hinterlands.

"It is my greatest hope that, Nana Akufo-Addo and NPP wins this year's elections to restore the lost hope and confidence in Ghana’s economy and to focus on better things that matters" he added.

It can be recalled that, in February this year, Mr Peter Antwi Boasiako of UK supported the constituency office with 2 × 19" LCD Dell Computers - Windows 8, 4GB RAM - DVD - Wireless Internet Ready, and 1 x fast wireless Epson Printer with capability to scan, photo copy and print at a rate of 26 papers per minute. In addition, he added a box of A4 papers containing 5 reams (2,500 sheets) for quick set up of the office, with all the computers having the capacity to print via Wi-Fi connection. Now, with these furniture received today, would help the setting up of the constituency office and raise it to the higher degree of its operations.

Receiving the donation on behalf of the Constituency Executives, the Chairman of the Constituency, Mr. Daniel Dwetey Agyare, expressed his profound gratitude and thankful to Mr. Peter Antwi Boasiako for his kind gestures and his support for the constituency. The Chairman intimated that the items received will go a long way to facilitate in the campaign. Mr Apomasu, who is the 1st Vice Chairman of the Constituency also added that, the Constituency Executives will make sure that each of the six zones in the constituency receives the bicycles and will ensure that they are put into very good use in the campaign.

The campaign launch which was done in grand style attracted multitude of party supporters, sympathisers and political admirers, who were fully dressed in NPP colours in different styles. Also, gracefully gracing the occasion were the incumbent MP of the constituency, Nana Marfo Amaniampong, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of NPP, Mr Bernard Antwi Boasiako (aka Chairman Wontumi), Hon.
