Emirates Wins Best Customer Service Airline And Aviation Cargo Transporter Of The Year

Accra, Ghana – 8th August, 2016 – Emirates, the world’s largest international airline, has been awarded the Best Customer Service Airline in Ghana at the maiden edition of the National Aviation Awards held recently in Accra.

At the same event, the airline’s cargo division, Emirates SkyCargo, was also named the Aviation Cargo Transporter of the Year. The event, organized by Xodus Communications, was held in partnership with the Ministries of Transport and Tourism, Ghana Tourist Board, Foreign Embassies and the West & Central African Division of International Air Transport Authority (IATA).

The award scheme, which is managed by a group of aviation specialists with a deep knowledge of the aviation industry in Ghana and West Africa, seeks to help develop Ghana’s aviation industry by rewarding and recognising airline operators, service providers travel and tourism companies, insurance and supportive financial institutions who have contributed to the success of air travel in Ghana.

Flying from Accra daily, Emirates has an extensive network of more than 150 destinations in 82 countries across six continents, with convenient connections through its hub in Dubai.

The award follows Emirates’ also being named the Best International Airline at the recent 2016 edition of the Balafon Award of Excellence, as well as the World’s Best Airline at this year’s Skyrax Awards, including the World’s Best Inflight Entertainment and Best Airline in the Middle East.
