The coronation of the chief was incorporated into this year’s Ghana fest celebrations organized by the Ghana Council of Georgia which showcased the rich and diverse culture of mother Ghana at the Grant Park near Downtown Atlanta.

Chief Bin Issahaku who is highly educated started his high school education at Ghana Secondary School (Ghanasco), proceeded to Navrongo Secondary School (Navasco) for his A-Levels and then continued to Bagabaga Teacher Training College (Batco) where he obtained his certified teaching certificate. The energetic chief did not stop there but he also enrolled in Atlanta Technical Institute and finally at the Strayer University after relocating to the USA where he currently resides with his beautiful wife Mary and four children.

Professionally, Chief Bin is a department manager at Lowe’s, a home improvement retail giant in the US at the Chamblee Georgia location, a company he has been working since 2001. With these attributes, nobody could have been more competent to be the overload of NGCA than chief Bin Issahaku Iddirisu.

Chief Bin was presented to the other Chiefs, Nananom, and Queen mothers representing the various Ghanaian traditional groups in Atlanta after his coronation. They unanimously accepted and welcomed him into their fold and going forward Chief Bin officially becomes the ceremonial figure head of the Northern Ghana Community of Atlanta.
