The Youth League of the Convention Peoples Party (CPP) has demanded the immediate release of the findings and recommendations of the disciplinary committee's investigations into the conduct of suspended General Secretary, Nii Armah Akomfra and Youth Organizer, Ernesto Yeboah.

They were suspended following what the party described as a breach of its disciplinary code after they publicly contradicted their flagbearer's position on President Mahama’s ford gift saga.

Mr. Yeboah petitioned  the Commission for Human Rights and Administrative Justice CHRAJ, to investigate the President on the Ford saga.

The two were subsequently referred to the disciplinary committee for sanctions but the Youth League has complained that the report is being kept under wraps.

Speaking to Citi News, the Secretary to the CPP Youth League, Hardi Yakubu relayed the frustrations of the group.

“We are baffled that up till now, the suspended officers have still not received their copies of the report so as to be able to know whether their suspension has been upheld or dismissed,” he said.

“The disciplinary committee report has to be made available to the commander and chief of the Youth League who had attended their meetings following his suspension from office. So that is the critical demand we are making.”

Mr. Yakubu complained further that the Youth League is as yet unable to give an adequate explanation for the suspension to queries “because the disciplinary committee report has not been sent to us at the Youth league or to Ernesto as the suspended officer.”
