I Have A Solid Relationship With Mahama – Anyidoho

Former Communications director at the Presidency Koku Anyidoho has described as “wicked lies” claims that he had a frosty relationship with President John Mahama when he was vice to the late Professor Mills.

According to him, such “rumors” and “propaganda” were sustained by a section of the NDC who wanted his downfall when they realised that the late President’s health was failing.

Rumors are rife that Mr. Anyidoho and the President had a strained relationship at the castle, with some suggesting that he denied Mr. Mahama some protocol services at the time.

But speaking to Bola Ray on Starr Chat Wednesday, the deputy general secretary of the NDC said although the fabrications got to him at the time, he nonetheless forgives his persecutors.

“I never disrespected him when he was Vice President. It's rubbish and wicked for people to say I was rude towards John Mahama when he was vice president, it's just a wild propaganda. Those were things intended to destroy me. Some even said I held his shirt in a fight at the castle. Those are just wicked lies and I forgive them.

“Everybody sees the relationship between me and the President, the relationship is solid because at any time, I am loyal to the leader and that is what my father taught me," he stressed.
