JUL 28, 2016 LISTEN

SAP Africa Ecosystem in partnership with Rhema Systems have empowered over 60 delegates in local businesses of all sizes in Ghana, to discover new ways of optimizing their business processes and engage with their customers and employees through a simplified technological experience.

At a forum held at Kempinski Hotel in Accra on Tuesday July 26,2016,the delegates comprising of potential and existing customers, and SAP Africa Ecosystem partners also had the opportunity to create business links that would enable them to invest and grow their businesses.

The Managing Director of SAP West Africa, Kudzai Danha, in his address to the audience noted that “Despite the economic impact of challenging commodity and oil prices, there is no doubt that Ghanaian businesses are ready to seize the opportunities in this digital economy.

In fact, Ghana’s real Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth is projected to rebound to 5.2% in 2016 from 3.4% in 2015 (statistics by the World Bank), clearly indicating the positive impact of a more stable energy supply and increased contribution from the oil and gas and agriculture industries. In addition, the World Bank also predicts that the energy supply is set to improve, aiding business and, ultimately, GDP growth”.

Touching on the rapid growth of technology, Mr. Danha said “Compelling market forces and breakthrough technologies have given rise to a powerful digital economy and to be competitive in this environment, businesses need to re-imagine traditional practices for a new world of digital business”

He added that “In today’s complex world, simplicity is key for business to innovate, grow and win.”

The Chief Executive Officer of Rhema Systems, Jonathan Anne, in an interview with the media, expressed how technology formed a critical component of the world’s economy and the need for businesses to adopt and implement it to ensure efficiency in their outputs.

“We live in an era where our world has been overtaken by technology. We need to embrace and work with it to optimize productivity. Growth of businesses may become stagnant if we lose sight on the relevance of simple digital technologies and stick to the traditional and manual means of rendering products and services. Africa’s economy is driven by Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMEs) and these businesses can survive and become profitable if we adopt technology as the underlying principle and foundation,” he added.

Mr. Anne called on businesses to patronize software from authorized producers to add value to their products and services and ensure efficiency to boost finances and contribute to the national economy.

Rhema Systems is a Ghanaian owned highly experienced technology firm now engaged in a strategic partnership with Novabase in Portugal and have set their sights on becoming the leading SAP® ERP solutions reseller in Ghana and West Africa.
