Shekh Khlaifa Consoles France                                                                  

The President and Spiritual leader of the Tijanuyya Muslim Council of Ghana on behaves of the entire membership of the council has expressed his condolence to the Government and people of France.

In his message Sheikh Khalifa Abul-Faidi Ahmad Abdulai Maikano wishes the souls of all those who lost their lives when they were celebrating their country to rest in peace and the injured speedy recovery.

It would be recalled that more than eighty people died when Muhammad Lahouaiaj- bouhel, ploughed vehicle into large crowd watching a fireworks display marking the end of the French national day on Thursday evening. He was shot dead by the police after claiming lives with the truck attack.

Sheihk Khalifa condemns the act and prayed that this should not occur again. His eminence said Islam is a religion of peace and shall remain as such no matter the action or inaction of any individual or group.

He added that it is therefore incumbent upon all Muslims to stay at peace with all peace loving people. He reiterates the fact that France no doubt is among peace loving countries.

It is rather unfortunate that this tragedy befall on them. His eminence was speaking to the press at a Maulid celebration of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) at Kpando in the Volta region of Ghana.

He used the opportunity to inaugurate the regional executives of the Tijaniyya Muslim Council of Ghana.

The executives includes Mudasir Shamsudeen Kalusha as chairman, 1^st vice Alhaji Muazu , 2^nd vice Alhaji Abdulkadir Jailan, Muhammad Mutawakil secretary, deputy secretary Muhammad Shakibu, Halaru Bio organizer,deputy organizer Shaibu Rabiu, treasure shasudeen umar, deputy treasure Fuseni Inusah, Ibrahin Inusah financial secretary, Hamidu Ibrahim deputy finance secretary and women organizer Hajia Sakina.

The People of Hohoe had their share of Khalifa’s visit to the Volta region as they also celebrated the birth of the Holy Prophet in grand style.

Sheikh Khalifa Abul-Faidi Ahmad Abdulai Maikano has since left the volta region where for a weeks he has been presiding over events organized by the regional offshoot of the Tijanuyya Muslim Council of Ghana.
