By Sampson Adu-Poku, GNA.
Antoakrom (Ash), July 25, GNA - Mr. Ivor Kobina Greenstreet, Flagbearer of the Convention People's Party (CPP), has pledged to ensure that there is more protection for people with disability, if voted to lead the nation.

He indicated that every convention and law passed to promote their wellbeing and safety was fully implemented.

He said this when he addressed various disability groups at separate meetings in Antoakrom, Bekwai, Jachie and Akumadan.

This was during his six-day election campaign tour of the Ashanti Region to woo voters ahead of the coming general election.

Mr. Greenstreet said they were going to enjoy free public transport ride, free healthcare and free education up to the tertiary level under his government.

He used the visit to inaugurate a water project he single-handedly funded to provide uninterrupted water for trainees at the Jachie Training Centre for the Disable.

He also donated 100 bags of cement to the Akumadan Rehabilitation Centre.

He gave the assurance that the CPP would initiate good policies to make life better for every Ghanaian and appealed to the people to vote massively for the party.

Mr. Greenstreet advised all registered voters to check that their names were on the electoral roll to avoid being disenfranchised.

Mr. Kingsford Manu, Amansie West District Chairman of the Ghana Federation of Disabled, promised to support the party to victory.
