Be A Voice For The Voiceless And Solve Problems Facing Society – Executive Director Of HFFG Appeals To University Graduates

The Executive Director of Hope For Future Generations (HFFG) Cecilia Lodonu Senoo has challenged University Graduates to be committed to cause of achieving social justice in society by being a voice for the less priviledged in society.

According to Mrs. Senoo, students from Public Universities have received their education at a cost to a great many people including the taxpayer whose toils provided the resources for their education and so they owe it a duty to give back to society.

Mrs Senoo made the call when she delivered her address as the Guest Speaker at the joint Congregation Ceremony of the University of Ghana College of Health Sciences and the College Of Education held at the Great Hall of University Of Ghana, Legon on Saturday July 23, 2016.

She said, “your education must therefore be put to use to benefit others both within your immediate and extended spheres of influence especially those who have not been as privileged as you, in order that you may contribute to the total transformation of the nation.”

The HFFG boss also told the graduating students that, “irrespective of your expertise, skills or competencies, society is looking up to you as agents of change, growth and transformation.

She reminded the graduates that “our country is plagued with numerous health, environmental, social, political and educational problems” and therefore, “as professional men and women you occupy very important and respectable positions in our society that has struggled constantly to bring good health and social justice to its people. Be fully committed to this cause as you enter into the world of work.”

She entreated the Graduans to take full control of their “destiny in a manner that would bring positive change to society and mankind.”
