Ghana’s largest telecommunications company, MTN Ghana, has signed a contractual agreement with the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and technology towards the planting of MTN cells cites on campus.

The agreement signed on Friday, is to aid the provision of fibre-optic network infrastructure and wi - fi in all residence halls on the campus.

This will also aid accelerate effective restoration of system network services, in and around campus.

Mr.Daniel Asare, Senior Manager for ICT sales and Business Development at MTN reveals that the project is expected to cost $3 million spread over a contract duration of five years.

According to him, the project will help students to access easy internet service on their device, which will improve research and academic studies.

He emphasized the agreement will go a long way to cement the relationship between the two parties.

Prof. William Otoo Ellis, Vice Chancellor of KNUST, on behalf of the university applauded MTN over their existing relationship with the university.

He was optimistic that, the relationship will go a long way to provide excellent service delivery.

He reiterated the institutions readiness to open its doors to embrace initiatives from MTN that will help promote technology.
