Kumawu (Ash), July 20, GNA - The Presidential Candidate of the Convention People's Party (CPP), Mr. Ivor Kobina Greenstreet, has promised a more robust economy and jobs, if given the mandate by voters to lead the nation.

He said his government would efficiently manage the economy - establish industries and fix the erratic power supply.

He was addressing separate rallies in Kumawu, Kokofu, Asiwa, Konongo, Effiduase, Agogo, Juaben and Ejisu as part of his five-day election campaign tour of the Ashanti Region.

Mr. Greenstreet criticized the governing party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the poor handling of the economy, which had led to unbearable suffering among the population.

He called for voters to replace the Mahama Administration for its failed economic policies with the CPP to transform their situation and make things better.

He told the people that agriculture, education, health, roads and housing were going to receive priority attention.

Mr. Greenstreet said sustainable development of the nation could only be achieved through the introduction of well-thought-out policies and this was exactly what they would be doing.

The CPP, he said, had a good track record and that he was confident that Ghanaians would trust the party with their votes in the coming election.

He invited his colleague political party leaders and their supporters to be measured and avoid doing anything likely to undermine the unity and stability of the nation as they struggled to woo voters.

All must accept to play by the rules of the game for smooth and peaceful election.
