The Progressive People's party (PPP) parliamentary candidate for Cape Coast North, Mrs. Sarah Bucknor has descended heavily on the parliamentary candidates of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for erecting huge billboards in the country instead of using the money to improve the living conditions of the people.

According to her, these parliamentary candidates have showed the people money-power by stopping everything to build huge billboards without thinking about the development of the country.

She has therefore called on the electorate to vote against them for the neglect and hardship they have brought onto the nation.

MrsBucknor made the remarks during the launch of her campaign at Abura, a suburb of Cape Coast over the weekend.

“The NDC has once again brought a new candidate to take the people of Cape Coast North for granted so let's stand up to be counted and stand up with the PPP because we have the experience to prove we can manage the economy of Ghana effectively,” she added.

She indicated that she undertook a lot of development projects in the area as well as giving working capital to traders without forcing anybody to swear by any fetish to vote for her in the 2012 general elections.

“Some political parties paid money for votes and people swore an oath due to fear and after the election they began to see the result of their mistakes” she said.

“The cost of living had gone so high, so fast that Cape Coast North had become a victim of lies, failed promises, uncaring leaders and topping it up with the re-emergence of  dumsor; we have all paid a heavy price by voting for the NDC” she stated

MrsBucknorpromised to improve on education in the area by establishing libraries, reading rooms, computer classes, coaching and special classes that would allow children to take advantage of SHS.
