The Convention Peoples’ Party (CPP) has suspended its General Secretary, Nii Akomfrah and National Youth Organiser, Ernesto Yeboah after they publicly condemned President John Mahama for accepting a gift.
The National Executive Committee took the decision Friday afternoon.
The suspension comes 48 hours after CPP flag bearer, Ivor Greenstreet suggested that there is a price for taking individual positions.
Mr Yeboah leads the CPP Youth League which has petitioned Commission on Human Right and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) to investigate the President after he took a Ford Expedition from a Burkinabe contractor.
