Kumasi: Four Suspected Robbers Arrested In Dawn Swoop

The Ashanti regional Police command has arrested four suspected armed robbers in a Monday dawn operation.

The swoop was assisted by the 'Lion Bravo' unit from the Police headquarters in Accra.

The arrested suspects are Kofi Gyimah, Kofi Nti, Kwadwo Owusu and Emmanuel Ampabeng.

According to the Police, the suspects are believed to be behind the recent robberies and murders in the Kumasi metropolis. They have reportedly confessed to the robbery attacks on the Petroland filling station at Nkoransah, a cement depot at Esiresu, a mobile money office and many others in the region.

Items retrieved from the suspected robbers included, a mallet, chisel, cutlasses, three screw drivers, steel cutter, a pair of pliers and two saloon vehicles. They also led the Police to three of their money vaults at Afasiebon.
