The fact that the grandchildren of Palestinian refugees continue to take on the Israeli army, the fact that the world is beginning to know the real history and nature of the Zionist state of Israel.

In order for a Jewish State to be established in the 1940’s, a policy of constant evictions, persecution and terrorism was carried out by Zionists of Israel against the natives of Palestine. Palestinians gardens and even cemeteries were destroyed. Jews then moved in, new towns and parks were built, and map names were changed. Close to 400 Palestinian villages were razed to the ground by the Israeli army. About Seven to eight hundred thousand Palestinians were driven from their homes and lands, into exile in foreign countries or into Gaza. To this day they live in refugee camps in Lebanon, Jordan and many other countries, no right of return, yet, any Jew living anywhere in the world, has a right to go to Palestine and settle there.

Related to this Israeli culture of violence were the Sabra and Shatila massacres and the invasion of Lebanon in the 1980’s resulting in the deaths of over twenty thousand Lebanese and Palestinians. It was in defence against such murderous invasions in the future that Hezbollah was formed in Lebanon, just as Hamas was formed in response to the atrocities the Palestinians have suffered for more than half a century.

It is refreshing to note that Zionists attempts to reverse their role as oppressor and occupier has failed and will continue to fail.

Throughout the world, freedom loving people are increasingly expressing disquiet at the attitude of Israeli authorities towards the establishment of an independent Palestinian State with Jerusalem as its capital. Some countries within the European Union including Sweden, Poland, Romania and Slovakia have already taken steps to recognize the State of Palestine.

Not too long ago, world leaders including President Barrack Obama of United States of America were compelled to openly warned Israel of isolation because of announcement by Israeli authorities for new housing units in Palestinian territories.

Then, there is a story of how an over 20 member Israeli delegation to an AU Summit of Heads of States at Malabo was sacked from the Summit. The delegation apparently had gone to lobby for a readmission into the African Union as an observer country, a status which is currently enjoyed by Palestine.

The United Nations General Assembly in 2012 approved the independence of Palestine and called on all member nations to recognize the sovereign state of Palestine.

Another evidence that Zionists are striving frantically to prevent the establishment of Palestinian State is the frequent labeling of the Palestinian resistance as terrorism. That the foundations of Israel were built on terrorism is well documented in history. Three prominent Israelis who eventually became that country's prime ministers had earlier in their careers been terrorists.

Menachim Begin, for example, took part in terrorist acts in the 1940s. Specifically in 1946 he ordered and took part in a terrorist attack on the King David Hotel which killed close to 100 people.

Yitzhak Shamir, was the operations commander, and later leader of the Stern Gang, a terrorist group which was responsible for a series of political assassinations, and his victims included Lord Moyne, the British Minister representative in the Middle East in 1944 and Count Folke Bernadotte, the UN's special Mediator on Palestine in 1948.

Ariel Sharon, initiated the Sabra-Shatila massacre in which about 3000 people including Palestinians and Lebanese were murdered.

In 2009, the Israeli Authorities sponsored the terrorist murder of a Palestinian official in a hotel in Dubai and were also responsible for the assassinations of Iranian scientists. Another example was the murder of Yasser Arafat.

In May 2010 Israeli gunmen stormed an aid flotilla which was on its way to deliver to the besieged population in Gaza humanitarian assistance including chocolate and toys. The aid convoy included a former Nobel Peace Prize laureate Mairead Corrigan Maguire of Northern Ireland and eleven Americans among whom was a former United States ambassador. The attack took place in international waters and resulted in the coldblooded murder of close to twenty peace activists.

Israeli military are notorious in bombing civilian buildings as the parliament and the presidential palace. They have targeted and killed medical personnel, journalists, civilian police and non-military government personnel.

On this occasion that the whole world is preparing for al Quds day, we should all join in the solidarity with Palestinians and support the legitimate rights of the people of Palestine .

The International Quds Day is an annual event held on the last Friday of Ramadan that was initiated by Ayatollah Imam Khomeini after the success of the Islamic Revolution in 1979 to express support for Palestinians and oppose Zionism control of Jerusalem . Quds Day is also used to express solidarity with oppressed people all over the world.

This year's event will be held at the Ghana’s College of Physicians and Surgeons, Accra on Friday July 1st @ 03:00 PM and will be chaired by Dr Yao Graham, a leading member of the third world network.

The event would be attended by members of the diplomatic corps, the academia and political activists. It is expected that the discussion shall focus on the current state of affairs in the Middle East and how it impacts on the Palestinians freedom.
