Former Supervising Chief Editor of GNA receives Papal Award

Accra, June 26, GNA - A Former Supervising Editor of Ghana News Agency, Mr Isaac Fritz Andoh and two other Catholics have been honoured with Papal Awards.

Mr Andoh now Sir Andoh was also the Past Managing Director of Standard Newspaper of the Catholic Standard.

They were awarded at a ceremony at the Apostolic Nunciature in Accra.

The two others were Mr Gerard Hillary Osei Boakye a member of the Board of Trustees of Edward Osei Boakye Trust Fund and Mrs Noemi Jovenes Lokko, a professional nurse.

The awards were conferred on the three personalities by the Apostolic Nuncio to Ghana, Most Rev Jean Marie Speich.

The title of Caveliere dell' Ordine di San Gregorio Mango (Knight of St Gregory the Great) was conferred on Mr Andoh.

Dama Dell' Ordine di San Silvestro Papa (Dame of St Sylvester, Pope) was presented to Mrs Lokko, while the title Croce Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice (The Cross for the Church and for the Pope) was bestowed on Mr Boakye.
