Even Jesus Can’t Execute Nana's ‘1 Factory, 1 District’ Policy - Baby Ansaba

Editor of Punch Newspaper, Ebenezer Ato Sam, better known as Baby Ansaba has described Akufo- Addo’s one factory to every district if elected as President impracticable.

Speaking on Atinka AM Drive with Kaakyire Ofori Ayim Friday, he said this promise from the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Flag bearer is not feasible and Ghanaians shouldn’t believe him if he says so. He said, “even Jesus can’t do it”.

According to him, the idea is very good. Industries provide jobs and will better the country; even advanced countries in world with far more industries still have lots of unemployed citizens. So industries will definitely make significant impact but he doesn’t think it is feasible and Akufo- Addo might not even embark on it because many presidential candidates have made promises and failed to do so.

Presidential candidates make promises and fail to do so, and they don’t get reprimanded for it. This is the reason why presidential candidates keep giving empty promises in effort to get elected, he told Ofori Ayim.

He said former President Agyekum Kuffour criticized the Rawlings government of high petroleum prizes, more than enough ministers but when he came into power, nothing really changed in these aspects of the government. Same with Former President Mills and President Mahama; they promised within 100 days, Accra was going to be clean as ever, “what happened during June 3?” Referring the disaster, which happened in Accra because of floods caused mainly by filth in the metropolis.

He also shared his opinion on the President’s form of defense in the car gift saga, where he said he prefers Japan cars to American ones. ‘The president hasn’t done anything wrong with saying that. He was defending himself. Trying to prove he is innocent. It is even worthy of him and he should be commended for even taking time out of his busy schedule to get back on this issue’- he said in his explanation.
