Women Encouraged To Take Up Political Leadership Positions

The 1st National Deputy Women Organizer of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC ), Dr. Mrs. Catherine Denu has encouraged women to endeavour taking up political leadership positions because they have the zeal and the qualities to lead effectively.

" women has all it takes to take up leadership positions especially in the areas of politics. We play many roles in the society. Our contributions to family, church, community and other sectors of the economy had been excellent thus paving the way for us to take up political positions. Let us be bold and continue exhibiting our God-Given talents"

According to Dr. Mrs. Catherine Denu, women have been good administrators especially at the family level steering the affairs of their homes. She noted the role of women in nation building cannot be over emphasized.

" We have taken various positions in our churches, families, departments as well as traditional leadership. In all these areas, we have performed creditably thus the adage that What says 'What a Man can do, a woman can do it better' and its very true"

Dr. Mrs. Catherine Denu stated these when addressing NDC women organizers drawn from 71 branches of the party in the Gomoa East constituency of the Central Region on Sunday.

She commended the women organizers in the constituency for their preparedness to canvas for votes for President John Dramani Mahama and the NDC to continue with the transforming Ghana, changing lives agenda.

" H. E John Dramani Mahama has performed excellently and there is the need to sell the good news to Ghanaians to give him the mandate to continue. I know Gomoa East constituency is solidly behind the NDC but we have to worked extra harder. Your constituency women organizer , Madam Aba Seguah Eduamoah and her executives are solid pillar NDC can relay for victory in Gomoa East. Choose Mahama campaign should continue unabated"

The Central Regional Communication Officer of the NDC, Mr. Kwesi Dawood disclosed that realistic measures has been put in place to ensure that NDC win hands down in the region.

" I would like to say bravo to you women organizers in Gomoa East for your readiness to sell the NDC to the masses. I commend your regrouping to other women organizers to emulate your shining example. We in the region will continually support you till victory is won"

The Gomoa East constituency Women organizer of the NDC, Madam Aba Seguah Eduamoah announced that women organizers in the area were regrouped to facilitate campaigns of the party towards victory 2016.

Present were DCE for Gomoa East, Mr. Moses Jehu Appiah and the constituency chairman Mr. Peter Kojo Essel.
