Adwenenase Rehabilitation centre has received 10 computers and accessories, 12 chairs, 6 tables and a refurbished resource center from MTN as Y'ellow care".

The items worth thousands of Ghana cedis are to aid the vulnerable students access technology in their studies.

Mrs. Charity Darko, corporate advisor for MTN northern center said the donation forms part of the "Y'ellow care" activities aimed at supporting and investing to promote technological education.

According to her, it is the dream of MTN to support such children with disability and unearth their hidden capabilities.

Dubbed “investing in education for all" Mrs. Darko noted that, "people with especial needs should also be prioritize to enjoy technology".

Receiving the items Mr. Modesto Ayewoli, center manager stated that, since the school was established in 1975, access to technology has been one out of the numerous challenges confronting the center.

He said the situation has hinder effective teaching and learning since people with disability has been denied opportunity to utilize technology module of teaching.

According to him, it is the greatest event in the life of the children, which he said will forever remain in memory of the school and the beneficiaries.

He said, they have student population of 75 with 15 teachers, with 2 out of the 15 teachers who can teach ICT.

He applauds MTN for the assistance, and assured proper maintenance and good use of the computers.
