Management of telecom company, Airtel Ghana, led by Chief Executive, Lucy Quist, have held discussions with their counterparts of Multimedia Group Limited’s Kumasi Unit on strengthening relations between the two companies.

The landmark visit on Thursday, 16th June, 2016, is part of a regional tour by officials of the telecom service provider to interact and customers, staff and other key stakeholders to the company’s business.

The team was received by the MGL, Kumasi’s General Manager, Jim Aglah, and other members of the management team.

Discussions focused, among others, on how to explore new business opportunities, through collaborative efforts, for mutual benefit.

Multiple award-winning Mrs. Quist, CIMG Telecom CEO and Marketing Woman of the Year, acknowledged the already existing cordiality between Airtel Ghana and the Multimedia Group Limited.

She cited the company’s association with the praise and worship event, Adom Praiz, organized annually by Adom FM in Accra, and replicated in Kumasi by Nhyira FM.

Mr. Aglah, on his part, re-affirmed the commitment of Multimedia Group Limited, especially, the Kumasi Unit, to continue working to add value to businesses of partners such as Airtel.

Mrs. Quist was accompanied on the trip by Director of Legal and Corporate Affairs, Hannah Agbozo, Sales and Distribution Director, Samuel Sarpong, and Head of Corporate Communication, Richard Ahiable.

Meanwhile, Airtel Ghana, is seeking to leverage the study of mathematics and science in public basic schools across Ghana, as part of its social responsibility.

Director of Legal and Corporate Affairs, Hannah, Agbozo,says the initiative is being championed under a special programme known as Science Technology, Engineering and Mathematics( STEM).

She spoke in separate interviews with Luv FM’s Drive Time host, Reuben Afriyie (DJ Reuben), and Asanka Boyooyo of Nhyira FM.

‘’We believe that it is important that we make this area of study interesting for our students ….because these are the places where those countries that have developed have majored in.’’ She stressed.

Adum Presby Basic School in Kumasi is one of the beneficiaries of the STEM initiative.
