As part of the Citi Business Festival, important trends in the technological world and how businesses can take advantage of, would be discussed at the African Mobile and ICT Expo (MOBEX).

This is a three day conference that will also see over one hundred technology brands display their products at the event.

Organizers say the program will bring together a team of speakers from mobile operators, regulators as well as consumer brands in the mobile technology sector.

The thought-leadership conference will bring together professionals across banking and finance, health, education, agriculture, entertainment and telecommunication. They will bring perspective to the theme from their own individual fields of endeavour all geared at achieving the maximum impact.

The Apps Lounge will offer an invaluable lifetime opportunity to attendants and visitors to learn and interact with a constellation of app developers.

This segment, an initiative targeted at young app developers to innovate, seeks to help them connect and network with device manufacturers and potential investors.

It will also give consumers an insight into what goes into the building of apps and its usage.

They will thus largely be helping drive patronage for African content in the global appshere for job creation and revenue generation.

For the teeming youth seeking to identify opportunities for employment and job creation in the mobile technology and ICT sectors, the MASTERCLASSES will be their preferred choice.

Masterclass sessions will setup for a rare opportunity of direct engagement with professionals, entrepreneurs, graduates and even students with successful industry practitioners within the value chain of Information Communication Technology.

Emphasis will however be based on Digital Entrepreneurship.

The AFRICAN INNOVATIONS ARENA will direct the global spotlight on local Ghanaian and African technological innovations, in terms of attracting investments to breakthrough into the international market.

This is to demonstrate that with the needed push, Africa can equally contribute into the global tech innovations basket and not only good as adopters and consumers.

Another look out at this year's MOBEX will be the NEXT GENERATION segment which involves the  exhibition of futuristic products and services.

This initiative will create the forum for technology device and consumables manufacturers to launch new products and also give consumers a sneak peek into yet-to-be released products and solutions.

This is to generate excitement among consumers and give feedback to industry.

Last but not least, the Games Championship will see registered gamers compete for the coveted MOBEX e-Sport Cup.

MOBEX takes place at the Accra International  Conference Centre () from Tuesday, June 7, 2016 to Thursday, June 9,2016.
