President John Mahama has charged graduates in the country to add value to their certificates by thinking outside the box.

He said they can become entrepreneurs instead of waiting to be absorbed into the public sector.

According to the President, even though government will continue to create jobs for the youth, the public sector cannot absorb all graduates.

Mahama was speaking at the 17th graduation ceremony of the All Nations University in Koforidua Saturday.

The President has also assured granting charter to All Nations University to enable it award degrees on its own.

Currently All Nations University is affiliated to KNUST and other International Universities.

Just as its name "All Nations", the university college has about ninety percent of it students coming from thirty-two African countries.

Three hundred and fifty four students graduated with degree in Allied Health Science, Business, Banking and Finance, Human Resource Management, Marketing, Engineering, Entrepreneurship among others.

In a keynote address, a Senior Advisor to the Japanese Research group on Conflict Mitigation in the Middle East, Dr Norman Cook, reminded the graduands, of the stark reality that there are no ready jobs of them.

He said that should not dampen their spirit but rather encourage them to improve upon their skills and become a master in their fields of trade.

Relating to the "Never give up" advise from Dr Cook, President Mahama, also advised the graduands to eschew self-doubt, persevere and be innovative as they step out.

The President and Founder of the All Nations University College, Dr Samuel Donkor asked President Mahama to grant the college a Presidential charter to enable it to award its own degrees.

Not only did the President assure him of granting his request, he also promised to provide the University with a new bus.

The Ministry of Education will in the next few weeks take delivery of buses to be distributed to tertiary institutions across the country.
