The Young People’s Guild (YPG) of the Ash-town Presbyterian Church in Kumasi has held fun games with the Jamasi Presbyterian Church YPG in the Ashanti Region.

The games formed part of activities marking the year-long celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Ash-town Presbyterian Church YPG.

The two groups competed in soccer, volleyball, ludo, tug of peace and other indoor games. In the football competition, the Ash-town Presbyterian Church YPG thrashed Jamasi Presbyterian Church YPG, host of the fun games 5-1 to emerge winners.

Jamasi Presbyterian Church YPG was also beaten 2-1 in the volleyball.

Speaking after the event, the President of the Ash-town Presbyterian Church YPG, Mr. Richard Opoku said the fun games were aimed at fostering cordial relations with their counterparts at the Jamasi Presbyterian Church.

He said the competition was also meant to revive the youth and encourage other people to join the Presbyterian Church in serving God.

Mr. Opoku hinted that the next anniversary activity was a clean-up exercise scheduled to take place on Saturday, 4th June, 2016 at Ash-town and its environs.

He therefore, called on all the youth and the members of the community to join the YPG in the clean-up exercise.
