NDC NDC Is A Party For All - Mohammed Seidu Fitter.
MAY 20, 2016 LISTEN

A pro NPP youth activist in the Tamale central constituency of the Northern region, Mohammed Siedu popularly called Seidu-Fitter has described the National Democratic Congress party (NDC) as a party that does not discriminate against its members no matter where one comes from.

According to him, the party unlike New Patriotic Party (NPP) gives every member equal opportunity to serve whiles in power as long as the person has the ability.

Mr. Seidu Fitter stated this at a press conference he held on Thursday May 19th to adress issues raised earlier by the vice presidential candidate of the main opposition party NPP, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia concerning religious posture at the flagstaff house.

According to him, the statements which were earlier made by Dr. Bawumia were not only untrue but also misleading.

“ As I earlier on mentioned in my welcome address ,this press release is going to be based on three main issues that are key to us as Northerners, and imperative us to remind ourselves . This also commemorate a day that we have come together as brothers and sisters to correct some misconceptions peddled by the main opposition party, NPP and to set records straight” He said.

He said the NPP party is the only political party in Ghana that discriminate against tribes other than Ashanti anytime they are giving the nod to manage the affairs of the country.

“I want to point it out to the NPP that ,it has been a political party in history that has been consistent in discriminating other tribes anytime they are given the nod to manage the this country, especially the Northerners who have high dominance of Muslims. He added.

He said, NPP was formed by Northerners being majority through whose struggles and toils brought the party to its current state which is being harbored by southerners with serious hatred for northern members today.

He said as part of their hatred and plans to run Northerners who climbed to the top in the party down, former vice president, Alhaji Aliu Maham (late) was replaced with Alan kyeremanteng and Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffu Addo just at the time he was suppose to be the flag bear of the party, including the recent suspension of the party’s national chairman, Paul Afoko.

“Fresh in our minds is the unconstitutional suspension of the first Northerner who climbed to the position of the party chairmanship. This is an individual who forms part of the progeny of the Northern founding fathers of the NPP. By the words of the suspended chairman, Mr. Paul Afoko, the faction (akyem) of the flag bearer started fighting him from the time he picked a form to contest the position till the was suspended. At least, they have succeeded suspending him illegally and that again vindicates my stance that, the NPP discriminates against Northerners. He lamented.

The former NPP youth activist has however described the running National Democratic Congress party as a party that gives every Ghanaian the opportunity for hold any position at any level of the party when qualified without and discrimination against where he or she comes from.

Adding that, the NDC party through its second and third from the PNDC era under former president Rawlings, late Atta Mills and now President Mahama has performed better in development than the 8years of NPP in power.

He also accused the NPP government for its oversight role in the murder of the late overlord of Dagbon, Ya-Naa Yakubu Andani (II ) which has brought digress to the people of the Kingdom since 2002.

“This was also an event that the NPP used as an opportunity to indirectly forced prince Imoro Andani, out in his position as the Northern regional minister and Alhaji Malik Yakubu as minister of interior. Not left out of the Northern sacking spree was the general Amidu, a former national security advisor to the president. All these forceful resignations from careful observations were orchestrated as a result of the murder of the overlord of dagbon by the erstwhile NPP regime” He stated.

“The above and many others should bring us back to our right sense that, the NPP has never meant any good for the Northerners especially dagombas” He added.

He used the opportunity to call on the people of the North to rally behind the NDC party which has been and will always be the party to bring the needed development to the region.
