Kpando (V/R), May 15, GNA - The 1992/94 year group of the Bishop Herman College Old Boys Union is to fumigate the school compound next vacation toy deal with bedbug invasion of the academic entity.

Some of the students are said to have abandoned their dormitories for classrooms due to bedbug incursions.

During a free eye screening exercise organised by the Year Group, for the kitchen staff of the College at the weekend, Mr Bawa Faisal, President of the Group responded to requests from some teachers and students to help fumigate the school.

The students said though Ghana Education Service sprayed the dormitories months ago, the insects are still spreading.

Mr Faisal said the Group would liaise with pest control institutions to fumigate the College three times before next academic term.

The eye screening, done by the Living Medical Centre and Save the Nation's Sight Clinic was estimated to cost GH¢5,000.00 and attracted some 100 people including teachers and students who were given free eye glasses and medications.

Mr Mathias Attimah, Headmaster of the College commended the Group for the support and appealed for assistance to renovate staff bungalows and address water shortage challenges.
