Let's Contribute To Local Governance System For Development - Civil Society Group

A civil society group , Joncaring Foundation has charged the public to get involved in the local governance system in order to also contribute their quota to the development of thevarious districts.

Speaking at a three- day workshop for stakeholders in Local Governance system in Begoro , the C.E.O Mr. John Agbegah, said the workshop is organised with the aim of bringing all stakeholders on board and also educate them on how to contribute to the district assemblies.

"The main objective of the working together workshop is to enhance citizens participation in local governance for effective decentralize governance and social social accountability" He indicated.

He said good governance is about improving peoples lives and therefore all the departments, civil soceity organizations, traditional leaders, religious leaders and the media must be brought on board.

He urged the various Assemblies to welcome any suggestions from the public in order to help in the development of the districts.
