IT'S NOT DARK - ITS JUST MORNING

Everybody goes through dark times. Its a part of human existence.

I went through one a few days ago and interestingly it always hits you in multiples - its never just one. Well, in the midst of my multiple dark days the Holy Spirit opened me up to something I want to share with you..

At the beginning of creation, we are told in Genesis Chapter 1: "great darkness covered the earth" - and from underneath that darkness, God was busy creating a beautiful earth. When He was done, He turned on the lights and exclaimed "it is good."

A woman is pregnant and in the darkness of her womb for the next 9 months, our beautiful LIVES are formed. Again, creation happens in the dark.

Joseph suffered the dark hatred of his brothers, then darkness in the pit, darkness in the prisons, darkness in Potiphar's house - and behind the scenes of all these dark stages of his life - God was busy creating a Prime Ministerial position for him and a redemption for the entire nation of Israel in Goshen.

But GUESS WHAT?? The Hebrew word for "Grave" is "Qeber" ( קבר). The same letters spell the word "Morning." It is NO coincidence - the point of our graveyard-like darkness, is the exact point at which bright new beginnings (like the morning) starts.

Suddenly instead of praying for the dark season to pass - one learns to thank God instead, for the beginning of greater brighter things. And gratitude like that, determines your altitude in dark situations. It helps you rise above it.
