Accra, May 12, GNA - The Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, Dr Keith Christopher Rowley has inaugurated the refurbished Ridge Branch of HFC Bank.

The branch is one of the branches that was earmarked in the bank's drive to upgrade existing premises all in an effort to provide its valued customers with excellent customer service in a conducive atmosphere.

Speaking at a ceremony to commission the branch, Dr Rowley commended the Bank for its efforts and urged staff to give off their best.

Managing Director of HFC Bank, Mr Robert Le Hunte assured customers of continued quality customer service.

He said 'we will continue to upgrade our infrastructure. It's all in the bid to serve our customers better. While doing this, we will also raise the standard of excellence in customer service by giving each customer the best available experience when they visit any of our branches nationwide'.

After the cutting of the tape, a plaque was unveiled in honour of the Prime Minister.

Dr Rowley toured the branch and interacted with some board members, customers and management and staff of the Bank.

HFC Bank is a subsidiary of Republic Financial Holdings Limited (RFHL).

Republic Financial Holdings Limited became the majority shareholder in HFC Bank with 57.11 per cent equity stake following the closure of the Mandatory Tender Offer to shareholders and the subsequent approval by the regulator - Securities and Exchange Commission.

RFHL is one of the largest and most successful independent commercial banks in the English-speaking Caribbean with over 178 years of banking experience.
