CENAB-USA Applauds Agents Of Change In Volta And Other Regions
12.05.2016 LISTEN

The wind of change blowing in Ghana’s political leadership has forced John Mahama and the NDC to make desperate and spontaneous visits to the Volta Region in a record time. Within a month, John Mahama visited the region trice. This obviously was a dead duck attempt to salvage his already discredited image in the region as a result of the region’s neglect by his nepotistic government and hardship on its residents from his blazing incompetence.

The fact is that the Volta region is only conscientiously and naturally reacting to the clarion call by fellow Ghanaians across the country for a change. This had triggered some kneejerk and unguarded reactions from some leading members of the NDC from the region. Such reaction reflects their admission that the Volta region will not remain the same in voting pattern in the 2016 general elections.

It is true that winning an election starts right from the negotiations for fair and level playing field, through registration exercises, voting, policing the votes among other things. And the Volta region has been of a much concern in this regard for the USA wing of the Coalition to Elect Nana Addo & Bawumia (CENAB-USA). We witnessed the over-bloated numbers in certain constituencies in the region even to the bewilderment of its benefactors in the 2012 presidential and parliamentary elections. This necessitated the calls for vigilance and proactiveness in protecting the electoral sanctity of our sovereign nation by ensuring that non-Ghanaians are prevented from registering and voting. And of course, to a very large extent, the objective of protecting the electoral process from being infiltrated by minors and non-Ghanaians has been well and beautifully executed.

CENAB-USA by this publication is expressing its overwhelming appreciation to the acts of courage and resistance espoused by agents of change in the region in the face of calculated diabolical schemes of government and its agents to perpetuate electoral fraud. Information available to CENAB-USA indicates that Volta Regional NDC had projected to register over 300,000 new voters. However, the vigilance of the Volta Regional NPP under the able leadership of John Peter Amewu and other pressure groups such as “Volta for Change” etc ensured that such electoral criminality does not happen.

They could not secure even half of their projection. CENAB-USA equally applauds all and sundry yearning for change in the motherland who took to their own responsibility and at their own peril to protect and prevent some bastards from impugning the integrity of the exercise. Indeed, the leadership and members of the NPP in other regions in the country have clear and equally shown that they mean business. The dint of their hard work during this process has made a clear statement; that political victory for the NPP and Nana Akufo-Addo in the 2016 elections is non-negotiable! And we praise them for such yeoman's work!

It can be recalled that last week, CENAB-USA issued a stern warning through a press release to certain sycophantic persons in authority who have sold their gumption right to the desperation of John Mahama (See: CENAB-USA Warns Against Ongoing Illegalities At Ghana-Togo Border http://www.ghanaweb.com/GhanaHomePage/diaspora/CENAB-USA-Warns-Against-Ongoing-Illegalities-At-Ghana-Togo-Border-436706 ) .

We called out Pascal Lamptey, Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Ketu-South; W.O. Dodgbe, a National Security Officer; and Asigbee, a custom officer at the Aflao border as those who were clandestinely bussing Togolese from the border communities in Togo to register in the Volta Region for all intent and purpose to vote for John Mahama in the upcoming 2016 elections. This information was relayed to CENAB-USA by the eagle and vigilante eyes of people yearning for change.

We will continue to seriously monitor other electoral processes at various stages as we get closer to elections 2016. Incumbency should not in any way be allowed to flout our electoral laws. And we will not relent in our efforts through our fellow CENABIANS in Ghana to prevent such chaos-ridden attempts by John Mahama and his government while checkmating the fairness of every process.

The work toward political victory continues unabated!
