Berlin Investments to empower women

Accra, May 5, GNA - Berlin Investments, manufacturers of Black Secret Makeup, an indigenous Ghanaian brand, has launched its new business model; Black Secret Business, to create jobs for Ghanaian women through entrepreneurship training.

Through this new multi-level marketing business model, the Black Secret Business would create a platform for women empowerment, entrepreneurship training and education with the aim to creating women leaders and future entrepreneurs to contribute to the country's development.

Speaking at the launch in Accra on the topic: 'Why Entrepreneurship?' Mr Joe Tackie, the Board Chairman of Berlin Investments, said entrepreneurship was an effective way to become a successful person.

Mr Tackie said entrepreneurship must be driven by passion and be able to identify a problem in the society to provide solutions to them through a product or service.

'Everyone can be an entrepreneur but the passion and determination leads one to become a successful entrepreneur,' he said.

Mr Takie said the innovations of entrepreneurs may improve standards of living in addition to creating wealth from their entrepreneurial ventures as well as jobs and conditions for a prosperous society.

He urged entrepreneurs not to spend beyond their budget for the enhancement of the business.

Mr Benard Annor, the Chief Executive Officer, Berlin Investments, said the Black Secret Business strategy fell under a modern way of reaching more people with companies' products whilst offering practical and entrepreneurship training for those women to help them start their own businesses and create wealth for themselves.

He said the company would recruit 1,000 distributors this year and 10,000 across Africa in the next five years.

Black Secret is a Ghanaian line of mineral makeup and beauty products created for women.
