Accra, May 4, GNA - Staff of Broll Ghana Limited from across the country on May Day, participated in a health walk as part of the activities lined up to celebrate the company's 10th anniversary.

Broll Ghana, the nation's premier formalised property and related services company launched its 10th anniversary celebration on last week, on the theme: 'From Trailblazer to Torchbearer - 10 Years of Leadership in property related services.'

The two- hour walk, which begun at 7am from Ridge Towers in Accra and ended at the A&C Shopping Mall at East Legon, was led by Mr Kofi Ampong, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Broll Ghana.

There was a brief aerobics session at A&C to climax the walk.

On behalf of management, Mr Tony Sekyere, Head of Property Management, Broll Ghana likened the walk, which started with a small number but ended successfully with a good number to the story of Broll Ghana.

He noted:' Our clientele base has increased from two in 2006 to 24 in 2016. We begun with 45,000 square meters of space, but now manage properties with total space of 290,301 with an asset value of about $ 736,000,000.

'There's also been a steady growth with our staff strength, from a staff of six, 10 years ago; today Broll Ghana employs directly 145 people and indirectly employs hundreds of people through various service providers.'

Speaking after the walk, Mr Moses Luri, Head of Retail Leasing of Broll Ghana noted :'We will work hard to remain the market leader and the first point of call in the property services industry.'

Mr Luri, enumerated the rest of the anniversary activities for the year. These include executive interviews on radio, press tours, a cocktail with the CEO, a health walk on May 2 and a number of corporate social responsibilities.

Some of the participants in an interview lauded the need for regular exercise to keep staff healthy, saying regular walking has benefits, which include maintaining a healthy weight, prevention or management of various conditions, including heart disease, high blood pressure and type two diabetes.

It helps strengthen bones and muscles, improves mood and also enhances balance and coordination among other things.

Broll Ghana was established in 2006 primarily to address the lack of maintenance in the real estate sector and also free corporate bodies from the huge cost of managing their assets.

The company is a Joint Venture between Broll Property Group of South Africa - 51 per cent, Social Security and National Insurance Trust - 32 per cent and SIC - 17 per cent.

Broll Ghana is the largest Corporate Real Estate Advisor in Ghana.
