We leaders and members of the 13th parliament of the University of Ghana Parliament House (UGPH) are flabbergasted and highly astonished to learn of the unfortunate actions of some students of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology who publicly screened a sex video of an alleged level 100 student at the "Independence Hall" of KNUST.

We want to condemn in no uncertain terms this shameful act. Such awful actions are objectionably disgraceful and must not be given solace at any level of human existence.

It is disgusting and ignominious to our educational system and we must fiercely object to such irresponsible acts of the notorious few, who are bent on bringing down the hard carved reputation of our educational system.

We entreat the University's authorities to as a matter of urgency liaise with the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service to probe into the matter and let the perpetrators of such uncouth behaviour face the full rigours of the laws to bring sanity, respect and also serve as deterrence to others with similar intents.

We want to use this opportunity to also admonish the youth of this country especially students in the tertiary institutions to stay away from deeds that bring shame to themselves, their family and the nation at large. If Ghana will succeed it depends on the actions or inactions of its youth. If we chose the right actions, we will not only hoist high the flag of Ghana our motherland but also cause a renaissance that we will be proud of in our old age.
