Dr Zanetor Rawlings preaches peace at Chief Imam's birthday

Accra, May 2, GNA - Dr Zanetor Rawlings, Member of Parliament for Klottey Korley, joined a large number of people to celebrate the 96th birthday of Dr Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharabutu, National Chief Imam in Accra.

She wished the Chief Imam continuous health and more years to his life, after she presented him with a gift.

Dr Rawlings suggested the need for Ghanaians to protect the environment to help prolong their lives and also desist from acts that would mar the peace of the November 7 general election.

'We must remember that we are Ghanaians at the end of the day and not cause violence or instability especially on an election year.

'I remind first time voters to go and register. We must work together for peace and harmony,' she added.

The Chief Imam prayed for Dr Rawlings and offered her, his blessings.

He also expressed appreciation for the gift.
