Indiscipline would create more problems - Mulvi Bin Sali

Winneba (C/R), May 2, GNA - Alhaji Mulvi Nur-Mohammed Bin Sali, the head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission in Ghana, has called on the youth to avoid fomenting trouble.

He said any morally unproductive action they might embark could derail the country's socio-economic progress and severely affect them.

The Ameer said this at a recent symposium organized by members of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) branch of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Students Association of Ghana (AMSAG) at Winneba.

Theme for the symposium, third to be organized by the Association within the past three years was, 'Moral training of the youth--A solid foundation for a peaceful society.

Mulvi Bin Sali said that as future leaders, it was the cardinal responsibility of the youth to learn to cultivate a high sense of discipline and moral uprightness so as to be able to focus and prepare themselves properly for their future assignments.

He said 'as soon as you begin to climb the ladder of maturity, you will no doubt come face-to-face with the negative results your actions and inactions created during your youthful days'.

This is the more reason why the youth should strive as much as possible to avoid all negative tendencies and channel their youthful exuberances and vigor into productive ventures.

Mulvi Bin Sali Ameer warned the youth to avoid acts that they knew was detrimental to the peace, stability, and socio-economic growth of the nation.

He praised teachers in the country for the enormous contributions they were making and appealed to them to maintain that for accelerated national development.

Mr Francis Kofi Tagoe, the Municipal Chief Executive for Effutu, called on chiefs, religious leaders and all stakeholders in the country to actively involve themselves in the moral upbringing of the youth.
