Sack Government Officials Ill Advising You—Organised Labour Tells Mahama

Organised Labour have charged President John Mahama to sack government officials who may be ill advising him. The influence of such persons according to them, only drawback the nation's development.

In his address at this year's National May Day Celebration held in the Upper West Regional Capital Wa, the General Secretary of Trades Union Congress (TUC) , Mr. Kofi Asamoah commended the president for the tremendous transformation of the Tema Oil Refinery (TOR).

According to him, this tranformation is indicative that "strategic national assets can do well when it is placed in the appropriate hands of good management and good leadership. You have done well in resisting all attempts and efforts to have the refinery closed down in the midst of all other ill advice, " Mr. Asamoah said.

The TUC boss further admonished President Mahama not to "listen to ill advice and warned all those giving the president bad advice to stop.

"Most people do it for their individual interest but in the end you will be blamed, so all those ill advicing you, sack them!," he exclaimed.

Mr. Asamoah relayed the appreciation of Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) and BOST workers to the president saying, "We want to thank you for your efforts in turning round Tema OilbRefinery. The same thing applies to BOST and they have asked me to express their appreciation.

He however, urged the workers of TOR and BOST, to ensure they maximize productivity and remove anything that works against productivity. This year's Celebration was marked under the theme, "Election 2016: The role of workers in securing Peaceful Elections for National Development which is considered as very relevant and timely.
