Ghana star Andre Ayew sent a strong signal to his possible summer suitors Liverpool by scoring a brace to propel Swansea City to a glorious 3-1 victory at the Liberty Stadium on Sunday.

The deputy Ghana captain gave Swansea the lead after 20 minutes after being left unmarked from Gylfi Sigurdsson's corner.

Jack Cork doubled the lead before the break when he curled home a delightful effort from just outside the box.

Half-time substitute Christian Benteke headed in from a corner to give Liverpool a life-line with 25 minutes left.

Ayew restored the two-goal advantage minutes later before Brad Smith's dismissal saw the game peter out.

In the first goal, Ayew ghosted into the box, stealing his way among a forest of Liverpool defenders to head home. From Sigurdsson's corner, Ayew then outjumped Lovren to head past Ward.

His second was even more classy. The 26-year-old turned three Liverpool defenders inside the box before wrong-footing goalkeeper Ward for his personal second and Swansea's third on the afternoon.

Ayew has now scored ten Premier League goals from the wings on his debut appearance in the English top-flight.
