NDC is committed to Rural development -- Gomoa West DCE

The Gomoa West District Chief Executive (DCE), Hon. Theophilus Aidoo-Mensah has stressed the full commitment of the President John Dramani Mahama led NDC government towards the development of rural communities in the country and Gomoa West District in particular.

"Those of is in the Gomoa West District in the Central Region has benefitted immensely from NDC government under H. E President John Dramani Mahama. Appreciable number of developmental projects have been spread in all the over 94 communities in the district

Classroom blocks, CHPS Zone centers have been constructed in most of the communities and are offering quick health care deliver to the people. School Feeding Programme has been expanded to boost enrollment. Mechanize farming has been introduced to farmers to improve food production while a number of irrigation projects have been expanded to boost food production as well"

The Gomoa West District Chief Executive stated these when he was addressing the chiefs and people of Gomoa Osedze near Gomoa Dawurampong as part of his regular community visit on Tuesday.

The community visit was to interact with the people and to bring governance to the door steps of individual citizenry.

He noted that the Gomoa West District has been grateful to the NDC government and has been supporting the party in all it endeavours. According to him, potable drinking water has been provided for the people thereby reducing water related diseases.

" I always say that H. E President John Dramani Mahama has performed brilliantly for Gomoa West District and therefore deserved to be given the mandate to complete the Better Ghana Agenda.

Ghanaians are witnessing the number of developmental projects being undertaken by President John Dramani Mahama across the country especially during his Accounting to the people tour. I hereby call on you to vote massively for President Mahama and the NDC government on November 7 general elections.

Finally, I like to encourage first time voters to go and register in their numbers and to vote for NDC accordingly"

He also encourage parents to invest in the education of their children adding that the Assembly was in partnership with traditional rulers to monitor activities of minors especially girls so as to improve academic standard of education, school drop-out and the high rate of teenage pregnancies in the area.

Mr. Seth Quansah, a youth leader if the community appealed to the DCE to include the community in the school feeding program and to extend electricity to the outskirt houses.

The NDC parliamentary candidate for Gomoa West constituency, Mr. Sam Kwesi Fletcher called on the people to reciprocate the brilliant performance of NDC government by voting for him as Member of Parliament and President Mahama as President in the November 7 general elections.
