Cape Coast, April 29, GNA - Top Management members of the telecommunication giant, MTN, have visited the Central Region Head Office of the Ghana News Agency (GNA) to update themselves with the operations of the largest news-gathering organisation in Ghana.

Mr Simon Amoh, a Senior Manager of MTN Western and Central Business District, who led the team, said the visit was to thank GNA for the support and the promotion of the activities of MTN over the years.

He gave the assurance that his outfit would endeavour to deepen the fruitful friendship they had with the GNA for the general good of Ghanaians.

Mr Amoh said in view of the bond between the two organisations, the GNA should inform the MTN about the challenges in its operations to put the company in a better position to improve upon its services and activities.

In 2013, the MTN donated two 20 inch LED flat screen desktop computers, a multifunction printer and some souvenirs to the GNA office in Cape Coast to boost their operations.

Mr Amoh, in response to an appeal made by the Regional Manager, Mrs Alice Tettey, to refurbish the Newsroom, which is in a very deplorable state, said the request would be duly considered after a formal proposal had been received.

Mrs Tettey said the GNA was appreciative of the MTN's continued support and it would, therefore, keep the healthy working relations to keep society better informed to exchange positive ideas.

The MTN, a few years ago, also refurbished the Editorial Office of the GNA Headquarters in Accra.
