Adopt solution minded attitude-Capital Bank CEO

The Chief Executive Officer of Capital Bank, Rev. Fitzgerald Odonkor, is urging all Ghanaians and Africans to adopt ‘problem solving’ or ‘solution minded’ attitude in order to achieve results.

According to him, the decision and effort geared towards identifying solutions often open up opportunities, urging everyone to embrace a problem solving attitude.

“Let’s try and look for solutions wherever we are though they don’t come easy. Let your name be mentioned in the corridors of progress and development. We should have the solution mentality mindset”, Rev. Odonkor disclosed at a conference dubbed ‘Possibilities’. The conference brought together fresh graduates, undergraduates and some young ones to prepare themselves for the many opportunities awaiting them.

“Whenever there are challenges we should be prepared to step up and accept the challenge. Most at times we hide from challenges, but it is by stepping up to challenges and problems that you can acquire critical problem solving skills for the future”, the astute banker said

He further said “It’s also important for students to be open-minded and not limit themselves to the courses they study in school since the essence of education is to broaden our horizon and adapt to various situations.

“The fact that you studied Biology, does not mean you will become a Biologist, what you must do is to embrace opportunities

Making reference to the Bible, Rev. Odonkor said “The bible tells us that we should redeem the time. That word ‘chance’ the bible talks about is an opportunity. There are opportunities around us but how many of us will take advantage of that opportunity.”

The Capital Bank’s CEO also touched on discipline, saying, people must be disciplined in whatever they find themselves doing since it brings positive returns.

“For me, discipline has been the major pillar of my success so you can become aware how precious time is. Every moment is valuable. If you are not discipline and you start your own work you will be more indiscipline”, he added.

Capital Bank’s vision is to become the local bank of excellence for African markets, providing the standard of measure for stakeholder return.
