The Wa Nursing and Health Assistants Training school is preparing to start a degree in nursing programme soon in the school.

This was made known at a brief handing over ceremony of a 6-unit classroom block by the Municipal Chief Executive, Issahaku Nuhu Putiaha at Kperisi in the Upper West Region.

The principal of the school, George Tecno Zumeh who made the disclosure said the school have for the past two years recorded 100 percent pass in the final examinations which gives a postive signal of a brighter future of the school.

According to him, the school currently runs registered nursing and health assistants programmes and would also start the degree programme soon.

Under the stewardship of Hon. Putiaha, the school have seen massive infrastructural improvements such as dormitory blocks and classrooms. The MCE assured school's management of the government's commitment towards improving the living standards of Ghanaians through the advancement of the changing lives and transforming Ghana drive of the Mahama-led NDC Administration. He emphasozed that these developments are evident and visible across the country.

The management of the school also expressed gratitude to the Wa municipal Assembly for their continuous support towards the development of the school.

The ceremony forms part of five other projects handed over by the MCE including four health centres at Sokpayiri, Guli, Fongu, Dokpong and a 3-unit classroom block at Chegli in the Wa Municipality.

Opinion Leaders of the beneficiary communities also expressed their appreciation to the MCE and the assembly for their kind gesture and timely execution of the projects.
