Accra, April 25, GNA - Zoomlion Ghana Limited, a waste management company, has donated 10 waste bins to the Directorate of Public Relations (DPR) at the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) Headquarters at Burma Camp.

The donation formed part of Zoomlion's corporate social responsibility and also aimed at strengthening the good ties between the company and the GAF.

Miss Ernestina Sintim, the Communications Officer of Zoomlion Ghana Limited, who presented the bins, said the company had been donating waste bins to several offices and residential areas in Accra as well as other regions in the country as part of its campaign towards ensuring cleanliness.

She said the company thought it fit to present some bins to the GAF since the institution was one of its major stakeholders.

Miss Sintim said Zoomlion had plans to collaborate more with the GAF but was starting with the DPR, which was the mouth piece of GAF and expressed the hope to extend the gesture to other units and the barracks in future.

Colonel Eric Aggrey-Quashie, the Director of Public Relations, who received the bins on behalf of the DPR, expressed his gratitude to Zoomlion for the kind gesture.

He bemoaned the untimely collection of rubbish by some collectors who often abandoned the refuse in the units and barracks for days before conveying them to the landfill sites.

He assured Zoomlion of continuous good relationship and partnership for national development.
