AGI Lauds Young Entrepreneur Awards

Business & Finance AGI Lauds Young Entrepreneur Awards
APR 19, 2016 LISTEN

The Association of Ghana Industries (AGI) have lauded the Young Entrepreneur Awards, an initiative by the Youth Business Network; an association of young and potential entrepreneurs in Ghana.

Mr. Prince E. Kwatey Quartey, a representative of AGI at the launch of the award scheme last Saturday, at Azumah Nelson Sports Complex, stated that the AGI is readily available to support the youth in any capacity possible to see them become successful entrepreneurs.

He said everyone was born with a treasure and that our greatest secret to success lies in discovering these treasures in us, and he therefore charged all youth to seek diligently and utilize their God giving treasures.

Mr. Quartey couldn’t agree more with a seasoned entrepreneur who described unemployment as “lazy thinking”.

“Munroe strongly discouraged the reliance on Government for jobs, describing it as lazy thinking. There is no such thing as unemployment in the world. What you call unemployment is what he calls lazy thinking.

The work of Government is not to create jobs, but to create an enabling environment for the people to develop their own works; challenging aspiring entrepreneurs to develop and refine their expertise in a talent, idea, service or body of knowledge, stating that when you refine your gift in an area, you become valuable, people then seek you out and pays you”, he quoted.

Mr. Quartey therefore advised the youth to take advantage of the many opportunities available, to equip themselves and to take a bold step to become jobs creators instead of habitual jobs seekers.

Nominations to the Young Entrepreneur Awards 2016 are however open and you can make a nomination by vising www.youngentrepreneurawards.com .

The association also launched two other major initiatives; Success Summit 2016 and Youth Business Summit 2016.
