The Director-General of Ghana Ports and Harbors Authority (GPHA), Mr. Richard Anamoo has paid a one-day working visit to the Customs Technical Services Bureau.

The Director-General who was accompanied by Mr. Jacob Adorko, Director of Tema Ports, Mr. Paul Asare Ansah; Corporate Affairs Marketing and Public Relation Manager , Mrs. Abena Serwah Opoku-Fosu; Public Relations manager and Mr. David Boison, I.T Manager was to familiarize with the operations of CTSB and see how the newly introduced the Pre-Arrival Assessment Reporting System functions- www.ghanastradinghub.gov.gh functions.

The Ghana National Single Window System introduced by the government for trade facilitation primarily provides the platform for an integrated clearance process to minimize the human factor as much as possible and, to a large extent help to reduce the processing time for trade documents.

The DG, GPHA, spoke extensively about how the system has really been useful in sholving up revenue for the government, and He thanked the Technical Support team- West Blue Consulting for the modernization drive introduced in the country.

The Commissioner-General, Ghana Revenue Authority hinted that the Ghana National Single Window concept also provides an opportunity for importers and exporters to electronically lodge their documents, including customs declarations, certificates of origin, invoices at a single location to be accessed by all regulatory and trade agencies, instead of traders sending copies of the same documents to different agencies.
