Ghana Institution of Surveyors launches week

Accra, Feb. 23, GNA - The Ghana Institute of Surveyors (GhIS) has launched its 11th Surveyor's Week and the 47th Annual General Meeting in Accra to help build the capacity of surveyors to enhance their delivery for national development.

Mr Budu-Anguah, President of GhIS, said to avoid misallocation, misuse and waste of scarce resources, professionals who helped to build the nation would have to lift up their game.

He said the GhIS had invited other professional bodies like the Ghana Institution of Engineers, Ghana Institute of Architecture, Ghana Institute of Planners, Association of Building &Civil Engineering Contractors of Ghana and The Chartered Institute of Builders to collectively play the needed role to champion the national development agenda.

The press has also been tasked to help the crusade in enhancing the progress of Ghana.

Mr Budu-Anguah said the GhIS had pledged its support to the Electoral Commission in the upcoming 2016 general election to ensure a free and fair election to sustain the peace of the country.

Programme line-up for the week include charity work at the Mampong School for the Deaf, orientation for new members, a lecture by the GhIS President, and a Thanksgiving service.
