Koforidua, Feb. 14, GNA - Monsignor Bobby Benson, Founder of the Mathew 25 House, an HIV and AIDS Care Centre, has donated a Plasma television set with a Multi TV decoder, to the Koforidua School for the Deaf.

The donation follows a request made by the headmaster of the School among other needs, to help entertain the children after normal school hours.

Monsignor Benson said he decided to give the school the television because it would solve a social problem since children of such age groups needed television to learn other things which were not taught in the classroom but vital in training.

He said the donation was in line with the catholic observation of the World Day of the Sick, to show compassion and extend a hand of support to the sick and needy in society.

Mr Jordan Agbona, the headmaster of the School, was full of praise to Monsignor Benson, for responding to their appeal adding that because of the nature of the children's predicament, television was very important in their learning and training as well as in extra curriculum activities.
