Drama As Alleged Sex Offender’s Family Attack Journalist In Court

There was drama in court Friday after family members of a lady standing trial for having unnatural canal knowledge with a 22-year-old lady attacked a journalist.

Relatives of the suspect, Queenie Akufo were unhappy with the reportage of the media on the case and attempts by some journalists to take pictures of the suspect.

They verbally abused a reporter from Daily Heritage newspaper and threatened to attack him after the victim was led to give his evidence in chief.

According to Starr FM’s court correspondent, Wilberforce Asare, the family attempted to confiscate the phone of the journalist and smash it after suspecting that pictures of the accused were being taken.

However, Asare explained that the timely intervention of the Police prevented the family from destroying the journalist’s phone.

Akufo, 26, is suspected to have drugged the victim after she visited her and dragged her to her room after giving her some alcoholic beverage.

She allegedly inserted an artificial penis in her private part and, in the process, filmed the whole act.
