The MTN Ghana Foundation is set for the 5 th edition of its annual Valentine’s Day blood donation campaign to be rolled out on Friday,12 th February, 2016.

The exercise, dubbed “Save-a-Life,” is aimed at collecting1200 pints of blood at nine locations across Ghana.

The blood will go towards restocking the National Blood Bank as well as blood banks in Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi, Effia Nkwanta Hospital in Takoradi, Tamale Teaching Hospital, Bolga Regional Hospital and Cape Coast Regional Hospital.

The blood donation drive is targeted at MTN employees as well as the general public and will take place at nine collection centres in six regions, as follows:

Commenting on the upcoming event, MTN Ghana Foundation Executive Director Mrs. Cynthia Lumor said,”helping others by giving part of ourselves is an honour, and the MTN Ghana Foundation is pleased to lead a campaign that enables people to positively impact the lives of others. MTN Ghana Foundation’s annual Valentine’s Day Save-a-Life blood donation campaign has been consistently recognized for its positive impact.

MTN received awards for being the highest corporate blood donor in 2013, second highest corporate donor in 2014 and one of the highest corporate donors in 2015.
