Man Kills Wife In Kasoa
10.02.2016 LISTEN

The Kasoa Divisional police command have begun investigations into circumstances that led to the death of a 40 year old chop bar operator at Kasoa.

The body of Comfort Kuma was discovered in her matrimonial room at Kasoa Oboum road with a deep cut on her forehead early yesterday morning.

The police have mounted a search for one Justice Adu, husband of the deceased to assist them in investigations. He was alleged to have absconded after committing the act.

Suspect Justice Adu was said to have called one of the tenants in the house owned by the deceased at about 12:20am yesterday that he had killed his wife and was leaving for Winneba where he planned to kill himself also.

The Kasoa Divisional Police Commander, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Mr Joseph Oklu Gyamera who confirmed the story to DAILY GUIDE said, preliminary investigations indicated that the suspect had for some time been at loggerheads with the wife for not returning home early from work.

He said the police gathered that the man was not happy that his wife who operates a chop bar often stays away from their matrimonial home for days before returning.

.
Being suspicious of the wife, he questioned her when she returned last Saturday from work.

A fight ensued between the two leading to the death of Comfort Kuma after which her husband absconded leaving their three children behind.

ACP Oklu Gyamera said that a tenant who witnessed the act called the police and informed them about the murder.

The police suspected that Adu might have hit his wife with a heavy weapon but the police did not find any weapon when the house was searched.

The body of the deceased had since been deposited at the Police Hospital morgue for autopsy and preservation.
