Agona (Ash), Feb 4, GNA - The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has ousted one of its defeated parliamentary aspirants in the Afigya-Sekyere East Constituency from the party for indiscipline.
Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) Serebour Ababio, lost his bid to contest the parliamentary seat on the ticket of the party but decided to go solo in breach of the party's constitution.
The Constituency Chairman, Nana Sarfo Kantanka, who confirmed this to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) said they had written to officially inform him of his expulsion.
They acted after seeing campaign posters of Lt. Col. Ababio openly displayed across the area.
He added that the dismissed member could still petition the Ashanti Regional Executive if he felt the action taken against him 'is not justified'.
