Accra, Nov. 30, GNA - Tempo Estates Limited, a Ghanaian accommodation solution provider, has won the International Star Award for Quality in the Gold category of the International BID awards.

The criteria for the International BID awards for the QC100 Total Quality Management (TQM) serves as the guidelines to business entrepreneurs to improve their processes and systems.

The basic steps to attain the TQM in companies includes being a quality-driven organization; having a customer-minded approach; job satisfaction, system efficiency, technological renewal and leadership in society.

The BID Model QC100 TQM allows company managers to consolidate and strengthen their position on the market.

It is a management approach that aims for long-term success by focusing on customer satisfaction that is based on the participation of all members of an organization in improving processes, products and services.

Mr Jose E. Prieto, the President of the BID Group, in presenting the award to Dr Eric Gyamfi-Osew, Chairman of Tempo Estates, in Geneva, Switzerland, read a citation which recognized the company commitment to quality, leadership, technology and innovation.

The citation also acknowledged the company's strong commitment to quality and excellence.

In an interview with the Ghana News Agency over the weekend, Dr Gyamfi-Osew said Tempo Estates, a small organization, has made the provision of quality services a core focus.

Dr Gyamfi-Osew said the award is the major honour for his company and that they will continue to improve on the quality standards as it is the factor to sustain development and make the company more competitive.

He said Tempo Estates is committed to publicizing the Quality Culture with employees, supplies, clients and the community supported by the QC100 total quality management model.

The principles of the QC100 TQM model are for the company to meet the quality levels established in accordance with the QC 100 Points of: quality, encourage participation and teamwork for decision making, satisfy the needs of our clients and meet their expectations and provide human resources, both technical and economic, to achieve continuous improvement and respect for the environment.

Other principles are to manage human resources in the company to achieve maximum potential; make employees aware of the importance of connection on the most profitable areas of activity; and to achieve the best business results.

The achievement of these seven principles by Tempo Estates Limited will foster improvement for clients, employees, suppliers and all of the other persons who make up the company.'
